Although we have a section on the site, the Tigers Hall of Fame,
we feel that those players who have been awarded the highest
accolade by the club that of Honorary Life Membership, warrant
their own special area. The Tigers, in conjunction with the
Castleford Tigers Players Association, have honoured just six
players to date with Life Membership, but they are all worthy
recipients.
The criteria for selection doesn't hinge upon how many medals
or international caps that you have won, although some have won
their share, but more important is the service given to the club.
Of the six honoured, four, Dennis Hartley, John Sheridan, Malcolm
Reilly and John Joyner, all added to their playing careers as long
serving members of the clubs coaching teams. But those honoured
have all given magnificent service to the Tigers.
