2021's 'Signing of the Season'. Turner arguably had one of the best years of his career last season, finishing as the Tigers' top try-scorer for the year with a fantastic run set by the 33-year-old in all competitions scoring 17 tries in 20 matches. A major highlight coming in the Challenge Cup semi-final with a hat-trick of scores justly earning him the Man of the Match in that game. Utilised as a winger for much of the campaign but offered versatility to play in the halves, centres, and even second row!

It was the then Salford City Reds where the Oldham-born player began his career, whilst also captaining the England Under-18’s team and being voted Academy Player and Young Player of the Year in 2007. Turner joined Hull FC between 2010-12 before joining St Helens where he claimed their Player of the Season award in his first year. Following a short spell at Canberra Raiders, he joined Huddersfield Giants scoring a try on his debut against Warrington Wolves. Three years later, it was announced Turner was set for a move to the Fords.

2021 was a busy year for Turner who reached two admirable milestones: 350 career appearances and his very own testimonial match for Jamaica. It was the first time in history that a testimonial was granted in the form of an international game and it was a tremendously proud moment for Turner to represent the Reggae Warriors.

JT made just 9 appearances for the Tigers in 2022, having missed a large part of the season through injury. However, now back in the frame to feature throughout 2023, Jordan will be looking to put 2022 behind him and hit the ground running in his third year at The Jungle.
