Rejoining his beloved hometown club after four years, Callum McLelland is delighted to be a Tiger once again.

A proud product of the Tigers youth system, McLelland joined Castleford at the age of 14 from local amateur side Lock Lane and worked his way through the Scholarship and Academy programmes at Cas and starred for England Youth at both Under 16 and Under 18 levels.

In 2017, McLelland made the switch to Scottish Rugby Union and gained eight caps for Scotland U20’s before joining Leeds Rhinos in August 2018 and made his long-awaited Super League debut against Castleford in 2019. In that same year, he went to Featherstone on loan and helped guide Rovers to the Million Pound Game.

The young halfback is overjoyed to be returning to the Club he has cheered on since he was a boy and be part of the #NewCasEra.

Callum has been working hard in the pre-season on his rehab following a knee injury last season which required surgery.

McLelland coming home is a wonderful sight for Fords fans, and we're sure when he finally gets to run out at Wheldon Road in Cas colours in his first competitive match he will receive a joyous welcome.
